It was in 2005 that La Dame Blanche was released , the first episode of the first season of Supernatural in the United States (in 2006 in France). Originally it was planned that the series would have 5 seasons. 15 years later, on November 19, 2020, the very last episode of season 15, titled The Last Voyage , was released, which seemed to put an end to the story of Dean and Sam. Fans everywhere will therefore be delighted to to learn, less than 2 years later, that this is not the end! Indeed, the CW has just ordered a pilot episode for the Supernatural spin-off . We even know the name: The Winchesters .
The story will not focus on the two Winchester brothers, who will give way to... their parents! Yes, our heroes Dean and Sam have not yet been born when this new adventure will take place . The CW reveals that this spin-off will focus on "the epic story of how John and Mary met, their love story and how they had to risk everything to save not only their love, but the whole world. » . It promises ! In any case, let's hope that this pilot will work better than the two previous ones ordered by the CW. Bloodlines and Wayward Sisters have indeed never managed to achieve the status of a real series!
And the cast in all this?
It is not yet known who will play the main roles in this new spin-off. The roles of the parents of Dean (played by Jensen Ackles) and Sam (played by Jared Padalecki), have already been interpreted by several actors. Jeffrey Dean Morgan portrayed John alongside Samantha Smith who played Mary. Later flashbacks showed younger parents, this time played by Matt Cohen and Amy Gumenick. But the last appearance in Supernatural of the young parents dating from 2010, we can expect a change of cast for the new spin-off! We can't wait to discover the new faces of Dean and Sam's parents and to dive back into this magical universe with The Winchesters , aren't you?
