I'm really picky about combs and brushes because I have a long haired dog I have to brush at least once a day. These small face combs are the only combs I've used that I like as much as my good Chris Christensen combs and brushes that I use on my Hav's body. If the eye goop is still wet it combs right out. If it's dry, I run an eye cleaning wipe under warm water to saturate it and warm it up, then I give my Havanese a small treat that's a little chewy to work on while I hold the wipe for a minute under his eye. The comb then slides right through the fine hair under his eye and cleans everything out. He's almost done teething, so maybe the drainage will improve soon, but right now I don't know what I would do without these! I used to have to pull out the little pieces the eye wipes didn't remove on their own with my fingers, and with a wiggling puppy I was always afraid of poking him in the eye. These are much easier to point away from his eyes and much faster since his eye area is clean in 1-2 quick passes.
