Just what I wanted at a great "damaged" price
I bought this for sourdough bread baking. Works great for that purpose. I will also use for baking chicken etc. I wanted a large oval enameled cast iron pot for Italian loaves and was dismayed by the price. This brand got great reviews and Amazon had the pot I wanted and even in the color I wanted. There was one item marked way down by $100 because it was damaged. The page mentioned a large cosmetic scratch which I thought wouldn't affect its performance. It was even in the color I wanted. I took a chance and ordered it. It was $36 with free shipping and a free return policy, just like the perfect full priced item. It came within a day. It was perfect in brand new condition. Not a scratch. Only the retail box was damaged. I order "damaged" goods when available for items I want and 95% of the time, the items are brand new perfect and are simply repackaged because the box is damaged. The few items that are damaged have only slight cosmetic imperfections that don't affect performance. Try it.
