So far I have zero complaints which is why I had to give it 5 stars. The app is surprisingly responsive and easy to use. Seems like it dispenses the food almost immediately whenever using the manual feeding option. The app lets you set up a “scene” where you can program “automation” and “tap to run” scenarios. I have purchased two feeders along with the dual dish trays. I used the app to create a tap to run sequence that dispenses food from the two separate feeders at the same time. It’s been working flawlessly. Whenever the food hits the bowls it makes a loud sound almost like a slot machine. I haven’t needed to use the recorder function to make an announcement since the sound of the food hitting the bowls is enough to alert the animals. The metal bowls are easily removable for cleaning. I wanted to reduce clutter from all the power cords and adapters so I installed a wall outlet with 2 USB 2.1 amp ports. Now I can plug both feeders directly into the wall without needing to use the included USB adapters or any additional power strips. The switch to using the wall outlet for power instead of the power adapters was flawless. The feeders don’t have any issues running from the new wall outlet’s USB ports. It significantly reduced the clutter from wires. Every once in a while I get an alert that it’s “jammed” however it’s not actually clogged up or anything. It’s just that the cats sometimes try to get the food out with their paws and the feeders think it’s jammed. The notifications were actually helpful for me as I was able to know when they were getting hungry and I was able to adjust their feeding schedule so that they don’t try to break in. Originally I got these for the times I would be on vacation since they have a battery backup feature that will dispense food even during a power or internet outage on 3 “D” size batteries, however, I’ve noticed that the portion control that this gives me along with the feeding schedule let’s me keep the animals happy without over feeding by limiting their portions and giving them smaller amounts food throughout the day or night. Overall I’m very happy. I like the design and would recommend this product to anyone who needs an automatic feeding option for their pets.
