Even raccoons couldn't kill this food robot
I bought this to feed my outdoor feral cat while we were on vacation. I put it inside a plastic tote, cut a small slot for just the food dish to stick out of the tote, bungee strapped the lid of the tote on, and put the tote inside a small dog house. Placed bricks and large rocks around the tote to secure it further. Whelp that system was a big 'ole failure, as the raccoons that frequent my property are absolute beasts and were able to muscle their way into the dog house and they beat up the tote and this feeder in an effort to get to the cat food, an endeavor in which they succeeded. The feeder robot was knocked sideways and the raccoon monsters removed the food tray and tossed it into the bushes. This feeder not only survived the attack but continued to dole out the food as scheduled. Not sure if my cat got any of it, since the food was being dispensed willy-nilly inside the tote-doghouse mess, but don't worry - my friend stopped by daily to give my feral cat canned food and make sure she had water. Long story short, this feeder is tough and reliable and perfect for indoor use where night critters won't attack it. Or, if you're smarter than me and can build an outdoor system that is trash panda-proof, this food machine will work for ya.
