Feed your cats while you’re away and keep them from overeating
I bought two units of this because we have multiple cats, and we were going on vacation for a week. I still use them to feed cats because I can manage the portions. I don’t like free feeding because it contributes to obesity. One of our cats tried get into the silo but failed in that attempt because it is securely attached to the base. The lid is also very tightly screwed on to the silo. I only use the auto feed feature when I am away, and the recording feature is nifty in that regard; I am able to record my voice calling cats for their meals. I use the manual feed feature when I am around primarily because two out of my four cats are on special UTI prevention food. I have to feed animals in two separate rooms so they don’t eat each others’ food. When I’m away, it’s easy enough to fill
both feeders with the same special food and turn on auto feed. I had this feature turned on for a couple of days after I got home, and it was amusing to see how the cats just LEAPT out of bed and ran to the feeder when the heard it go off.
