Properly 'loaded' our dog loves it!
We've had three of these. It comes with little 'fingers' of its material pointing inward around the circumference of the hole on both ends. The fingers are intended, and do, reduce the ease of getting treats out of the toy. Those 'fingers' are extremely important.
We shortened them on the first two of these toys to accommodate Milk Bones because our dog couldn't satisfactory get Milk Bones out with the fingers at full length.
At a shorter length she got the adult size milk bones out in fragments and was a busy, happy, dog.
BUT, too many Milk Bones and she was getting fat.
SO, we bought a third toy and left the 'fingers' at full length, and instead of using Milk Bones as an inducement we use the much smaller kibbles of her regular dog food - Science Diet Adult. She has a harder time getting the kibbles out, but she does get them out. It takes longer, makes her work harder at it, and so is exactly what we wished. A more nutritious treat and a longer time to extract them from the toy.
SO, we're very pleased with it.
One negative comment: I don't know what material it's made of, but out of the package it really stinks.
Not a rotten, icky kind of smell but a strong, artificial, plasticky kind of thing. It does wear off with time
so it's acceptable considering how much Lexi enjoys the toy..
