Best Headset for Gaming
I used to be strictly Turtle Beach until quality started getting...off... a few months ago I bought two matching off-brand headsets for me and my oldest kid while gaming on PS4. Recently when got a PS5 that those headsets did not work with, I set out to find one that did.
The official PS5 headset did not have a mic and I didn't want to use the controller mic due to whenever there is too much noise in the house from kids playing or just trying to hear a game in my headset and the chat through the controller. I love Razer mice and keyboards so figured I'd give this a try.
100% best choice and would get another in the future should anything happen to this one. Sound quality is great and adjustable on the left ear, nice to not have controls on the cable. Microphone can sometimes be annoying if not using it as it doesn't move very far out of the way and is not detachable (but have never liked detachable mics anyways). It plugs in, is super comfy, and works immediately, stores easily too with the turning ear cups. No issues with being too tight or hot.
