My cat, Aries, adores this fountain and drinks from it many times every day. The fountain is set up down the hall from my bedroom and I do hear it splash sometimes but since I also like the sound of running water not a problem. The unit is easy to clean except for the shaft of the daisies that stick down in the fountain. I had to bundle pipe cleaners together to keep it "swept" out between trips through the dishwasher. Another pitfall is the pump. Do be sure to disassemble the pump every other week and thoroughly clean it. It can become clogged and stop working if you do not. The fountain does come with a brush and there are instructional videos on You Tube concerning this. Other than that, this is a very easy
and cute fountain which my cat cannot overturn. I love it.
